Done Tea House Portland

The tea house in the Lan Su Chinese garden is available for rent and Yolanda suggested we have our next meeting there. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy, still recovering from the earthquake in 2019, but they are used to black car drop-offs and pickups, doesn’t raise an eyebrow.

Coral, a Net Girl, had the lead for an RF sweep and would manage Presence as well. Most of the staff had left, courtesy of a paid day off.  The attendants that remained were from a Circle company that often worked with the Tao of Tea staff. Wonks’ PSEs were in the general area. They turned off all the lights, put on goggles and super flashed the insides, that alone will fry many spy type cameras, but Yolanda’s AI was processing the return imagery. If you want a cameras need a lens and that lens will reflect light.

For all the tech involved, Ahuva is really the star of the show. Anything motion activated is likely to hum and whirr. You and I can barely hear it, she knows what to listen for and can hear the faintest sound. Of course, there are a few false positives to deal with, one of the PSEs had to be shooed further out on the perimeter, she had one of those ancient iPhone Xs that crackle and pop.

Ahuva felt the spirits of Circle dogs from the past. Apparently Circle had used this place before. If something was just brought in, say for this meeting, it will smell differently than the rest of the objects in the tea house, 300 million olfactory receptors coupled with a Blue Circle GSD brain is not going to miss that. As the attendees of the meeting were arriving, the forward team was satisfied.
