D Yolanda meets with the Social Justarian Party done 1.3

Up and Out drop outs fail if they miss their second chance. Their last day with the living is with a bottle of vodka, a handful of opiates, suicide due to nerves, they are the statistics we hear every day and have become numb to.

But every once in a while, a failed candidate does not succumb to being released back into the population as the euphemism Up and Out uses goes. They overcame, seeking first to survive, then to be treated fairly, and sometimes to thrive. Over time, they found each other, and spoke with a small voice on social media and a few people tuned in. As they loosely organized, suffragettes, teetotalers, reproductive rights, DNA rights, resilientests, became the Social Justarian Party. They actually won a few elections, mostly local. However, the core of the movement were the women and men that created their own third chance. The focus of this caucus is to find and protect: failures, runaways, rejects from Up and Out. Why waste all that training and counseling? They became the party of the third chance.

And now, at party headquarters, two of the leaders were discussing what would have been unthinkable just two years ago.

Are you sure we need to try to arrange a meeting with her? Yolanda really doesn't seem the type to champion social justice.

Yes, but she is charismatic and charming. She doesn't hold press releases or other public events, rarely shows up at events and when she does it is in an out. Despite that, she generates buzz. From what I've heard, she requires constant admiration, adoring fans, that sort of things. So she likes to be in the spotlight, is that a crime?

No, it isn't a crime, but do we want to be associated with her? I imagine some of the HNMNBies are uncomfortable with the fact she is considered a leader in that movement. Do we really want to tie our star to a person that is controlling, conceited, and has an inflated self-perception?

Darling, she said, resisting a temptation to stroke her intern's chest, we all have a bit of inflated self-perception, otherwise we would never make it through the day.

Set up the meeting with Yolanda, I know you can do it.

For every discussion, there is an equal and opposite conversation. While the Social Justarians were talking about Yolanda, she and Angelica were chatting about the party and whether they should reach out.

A lot, maybe most of the HNMNBies are sympathetic to the issues the Justarians support, maybe most. Granted the party is a bit to extreme for them to identify with it publicly. I think it makes sense to hear what they have to say.

Yolanda would hear none of it. I don't want to meet with them, they cannot deal with criticism, get hurt easily, are extremely jealous and while they appear strong on the surface, under pressure they crack like an egg shell. In short, they are the land of misfit toys.

Angelica nodded, but there are a lot of these misfit toys as you call them. And while the majority are women and represent what are largely women's issues, that can matter. There are still nations where women cannot vote. Pharmaceutical companies are still shipping tons of opiates, especially the drugs that combat the nerves.

Ummmmm, said Yolanda, then I guess the rich question to ask is do we meet with them formally, or informally?

I don't think we should announce the first meeting or two, just meet, exchange ideas. Besides, this could benefit you girl. Josh has already brought up some of your extracurricular activities with Up and Out to High Table. This could give you access to a population group that is outside of Blue Circle's domain. And, they are organized in cells, my guess is that deep state doesn't have a clear picture of who they are.

Yeah, that cease and desist was quite a bother, cut off my supply to young women that could serve as mothers for Yolanda's children. I still think that was awfully prudish of the Table, the program was always opt-in.

Angelica nodded, as Seba Smith put it, "There are more ways than one to skin a cat," and Yolanda finished the quote, "so are there more ways than one of digging for money." OK, we'll meet.
