Gloria and Wonk Yolanda's special purposes for Up and Out 1.4 Done
Kerkchoff's free range chicken ranch was only a few miles away and an excellent diversion. Wonk paid $2.00 for a bucket of grapes that were past their sell by date. He sat on the fence with Gloria, throwing handfuls of grapes at the chickens.
I love to watch chickens operate, Wonk said. They seem to be close to panic much of their life, running and squawking like their lives depend on it. Good reminder not to be like that.
Gloria agreed, ever notice how a chicken will run up to the pile, somehow manage to put two or three, even four grapes in their mouth, then run away and eat them. I guess they don't want another chicken to eat their grapes.
Wonk looked at her admiringly, a diminutive woman of simmering intensity. He had no idea just how bright her light would soon burn. You were going to tell me about Up and Out and the female PSEs.
Gloria started tell Wonk about Yolanda's interest in Up and Out.
She didn't start it, Blue Circle has been running private academies for hundreds of years to produce the people that staff Circle companies. And she is not the only champion of The Second Chance. But what is unique about Yolanda's brand of Up and Out is her focus on vulnerable young women. She believes, and has proven, that not all can, nor should all aspire to, but that some can earn the vaulted Physical Security Expert certification. Have you ever noticed her two attendants?
Sort of, they are almost like ghosts. But, yes, I have seen them from time to time.
That's Shauna and Krista, in some sense they fell the hardest, so climbed the highest to be where they are. In addition to being the port and starboard lieutenants in charge of her security detail they are highly involved in mentoring promising Up and Out PSE candidates. Whenever they go into the field they will have two or three trainees along.
So what do they do, what skills does a PSE need?
Gloria was busy trying to throw a grape right at a chicken's beak, sqawk, sqawk. w Skills, hmmm, one of the top is assessment. While a dog would effortlessly use his snout eye coordination to snarf the food out of the air, the chicken acted like it was the projectile of death and run for cover.
You ever watch TV where they show the secret service agents checking out a venue before the president arrives. Those are not deep state, "we run our intelligence anyway we want and elected officials be damned operatives." They are loyal to the person they are assigned to protect and very good at their jobs. They study the area, determine actual and potential threats, calculate the risk, put in countermeasures, and plan exit strategies.
Sounds like HNMNBies, Wonk smiled.
Certainly closer than deep state, Gloria continued. Where ever Yolanda goes, her PSE detail has been there first, is there when she is, remains after she is gone to clean up.
You would think that would be a signal to deep state, but as you say, they are ghosts. What other skills does a PSE have to have?
Systems, alarms, sensors, locks, bullet, bomb resistant countermeasures, transportation, that's the techie side of their world. There is a lot to know and it is changing every day. All of the Up and Out PSEs demonstrate certification upkeep quarterly, with Yolanda's team it is monthly. When they aren't doing field work, they help train new candidates, review, update courseware, that sort of thing. And before you ask, the third dimension is putting the physical in physical security.
They run, swim, kickbox, shoot, yoga, anything and everything to remain in top physical shape. Yolanda is no slouch, she will often be right there with them, even though she is a few more years advanced.
So let me ask you something Gloria, why does your sister have a detail and you don't?
Hmmm, Yolanda is High Table.
And you're not, yet you are sisters. And now that we have been through minting H Coin, I know you are not bereft. What am I missing?
I'm too Jewish to be high table, I was born of a Jewish mother, remember?
But, I thought Blue Circle was open to various nationalities and people groups, all animals are equal or some such.
Animal Farm right back at ya, Wonk, seriously in life, some animals are more equal than others.
But Gloria, considering the relationship the three of us have, I don't think I am getting too personal, she is your sister, why are you different?
Yolanda was born of my mother, but she doesn't have my mother's DNA. She was an embryo that was planted and mom carried her to term. This gets complicated, but there's another side to Blue Circle that I don't even claim to understand, my guess is they breed humans like horses.
Does Yolanda know this?
Of course, she is the leader of the band. Ask her about Yolanda's children sometime. Or, stop and think, when you had sex did she tell you she was collecting your semen?
Yes. Wonk suddenly lost all interest in chickens and grapes. It did seem a bit odd.
But you were a virgin, a young man, about to get laid, I'm surprised you even paid attention. Or how about this. Guy told you he saw someone open your Q phone, remember? How is that even possible, those phones have state of the art facial recognition. And don't ask me, because I don't know, they are up to something and I stay clear of it. A bridge too far ....
Wonk paused, so Yolanda. . .
It's better you ask Yolanda about Yolanda, Gloria answered. She has a mystical side, I worry sometimes, but she seems to have it under control and she is a big girl, capable of taking care of herself.
I, um, maybe I shouldn't ask, but you said she has in interest in vulnerable young women, what about the ones that aren't PSE material?
Well, the majority of Up and Out is tailored to law enforcement, fire and rescue positions. Since they are all of an age where they are Botxennials these days, they train with, and when they graduate, work with one or more robot partners. Angelica and her team have been superb making adjustments when needed. Slowly, but surely the rank and file of the so called brotherhood is coming around.
Some of the other ladies are given an opportunity to work on special projects with and for her, replied Gloria, strictly opt in so I understand. Look Wonk, again, I love sis, but I don't stick my nose where it doesn't belong. You haven't completed your three sessions with her and she will give you a straight answer to anything you ask in the afterglow. Be observant and smart, but before you ask anything, figure out if you really want to know. Blue Circle has as much palace intrigue as Deep State. Not to change the subject, but my butt is starting to hurt sitting on the fence, shall we go back to Roost?
