Wonk practiced with his guitar for a week. He had been dating Fortia for a month.  Dating is hard. If you don't try hard enough, your prospect may go elsewhere, but if you try to hard, they are likely to run for cover. Eve, ever the thoughtful AI even printed him a card with two people kissing and an inscription inside saying, "Let's spend tonight with one long slow kiss."

He tried hard to put his romance on. Shower, clean shirt, shave, would Old Spice be trying too hard? Got reservations at Lindermans for the Eight O'Clock seating. After dinner and what Wonk felt, was some great conversation, he drove over to the Mukilteo Ferry Terminal, the last ferry had run, parking lot deserted, light reflected on the water. He didn't think taking her back to his parent's house was a good idea.

I have a song for you, he said. You wrote me a song, she giggled. Not exactly, but I helped. He pulled out his guitar and sang her love song.

OK, she thought, a little weird, but nobody had ever sung a love song to her, at least he didn't get Eve.ai to do that! Wonk gave her the card. Happy anniversary. Anniversary? We've been dating for a month. He stumbled a bit next. They were a bit too old to "go steady", "engaged" really sounded pushy. Fortia saved the night. How about that long slow kiss she smiled.
