Chapter 9 Summary

The meeting at the Lan Su Chinese garden teahouse is preceeded by preparation and checking. The meeting is fairly boring, IT stuff. They agree on Q phone 3s, mesh mail secure mail and container data centers. Yolanda gets a bit wierd in the HNMNBie department, but mostly they shake that off.

Guy gets his new house. The Net Girls help him decorate it and break it in. They have a housewarming party the next day. Guy likes his house, but wants to go see Traveler in Hawaii.

Wonk goes to see Chase. Let's him know he is selling Curvaceous Coffee. Reverend Slocom suggests he put a HE > I bumper sticker on his car. Wonk nearly gets run off the road by a car with one of those stickers shortly thereafter.

Guy takes Bandi on a walk and nothing happens. When he gets home his mom arrives and meets Net Girl, Clara.

Guy goes to Hawaii. Cody runs the route from Pono Kai and finds the van with the leaking crystal.

Guy meets with Traveler and talks about investing

Armed resistance from American Patriots, Robusts and others related to gun seizure. Beauregard takes the lead on the negotiation.

Arroyo barrio, Puerto Rico, bandits try to strike Pedro's house, but are repelled. Gizmo feels it is best for Pedro to leave the island.

Today was casino day. Happy Trails went to the casino on Wednesdays. Arlo Silver went straight to the small, bare, (nothing but a screen, keyboard and microphone), room to meet with the AI. This would be their second day. He donned a small microphone. The AI was still customizing natural speech components. Alnowvation.AI was in the process of a literature scan. If you were able to visualize the character flow it was hundreds of times faster than the maximum human input rate. No consideration of trying to record much of it, just identify the patterns to allow rapid analysis of any new text type data . That high input flow rate was also the problem.
